KVARKENSAT INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2022 ON SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY

As a part of the  “Kvarken Space Economy” project, using space-based data to help combat climate change we are organizing a hackathon, KvarkenSat Innovation Challenge 2022 on Sustainable Forestry on 18.03. - 20.3.2022.

Kvarken Space Economy with the support of the European Regional Development Fund, Metsä Group, IBM, leading Universities in the region of Botnia Atlantica aims to raise regional space technology awareness, help develop a long lasting ecosystem, as well as demonstrate the use of space technology and satellite data. Our partners are looking for ideas and solutions combining existing knowledge and datasets with space-based data and datasets based on satellite measurements, in four particular themes. We welcome students, researchers and specialists from different disciplinary areas to join. Students will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team and gain hands-on experience in creating data-driven solutions. Why should you join?
